I have been using a simple maintenance log that I keep in a folder in the garage. Have done so for all my vehicles for a long time. See all maintenance done at a glance. Used to draw by hand in the old days but now create the chart in Word Perfect. You can also make one in Microsoft Word but I find it harder to do so.

    That is a nice log.

My wife will be headed for her first oil change Jan 15th (6 mos).
    She is about at 3500mi.

The 2012 Ram 1500 has had all maintenance at the dealer, so the history is all on the mopar website.
Not that it makes any difference, I plan to keep it till it dies.

JohnnyDollar: Hard to kill those Rams so I think you will have it for a long time. I drove my 2001 2500 for 14 years with no major issues. Probably should have kept it but I was ready for something a little more high tech and comfortable. Love my 2014 Ram.

I let the BMW dealer take care of my wife's car because it came with 100% free maintenance for 3 years. I still do all routine maintenance on the SP and the Ram (oil and filter, tire rotation, engine air filter, cabin air filter, etc.). Unless something goes wrong, there is not much else required except cosmetics. As I get older and am dealing with health issues it is getting a lot harder. I do not look forward to the day I have to let the dealer do all the work.

We had a 2001 Ram 1500 that we loved. It was a simple 2-door with the V-6 Magnum and 5spd manual transmission.
Still running strong at 171K miles.
Unfortunately, it gave it's life to a cement truck.

My wife was approaching a T intersection and a cement truck came around the corner too fast and rolled onto it.
Luckily, it hit the Ram in a way that basically pushed it out from under it as it rolled over.

My wife was driving alone, she walked away with barely a scratch.

But, she still gets nervous around big trucks.

I think postimage.org is/was having some difficulties this morning.
The links were slow to load, but they seem to be working now, no?

Their website was super slow earlier, but it seems resolved now.
