So I hate that my fog lights are a nice white color, but my Hi/Lol bulbs are a boring warm temperature bulb. I want to make them white as well and wasn't sure if I should do the plug in and play LED or do the HID's which are apparently cheaper but seem like slightly more work....

Curious because it's all 20 percent off for this week and figured I should take advantage

Hid’s will absolutely give you better light output and most likely will be cheaper. If you want led though make sure they are ones designed for projectors.(diode Dynamics makes some but I’m not sure if it’s the ones you have listed)

SL1 Leds are pretty close to the top of the game right now and by the videos supposed to be a good beam pattern.

Hids are usually a save and good option for any car. Both good for projectors for a better focused beam pattern.

LEDs have been slowly getting better (more expensive brands) for good beam pattern.

SOme of my local charger friends have been getting Aux beam LEDs but I'd go with Diode for higher quality and better customer service.

You might have to put a hole in the dust cover for the wiring for the leds and will definitely have to for HIDs. Make sure whatever holes you make seal them back up 100% and make sure the dust cap is fully locked on otherwise you will get moisture inside.
