I don't think there is anything you can do about it, I am not saying these additional contaminants are particularly harmful.

Tests show that the K&N increases airflow, but with that airflow increase there is some loss in filtering compared to an OEM filter.
Which actually makes sense when you think about it.

I like and use K&N drop-in filters, but you have to keep them clean. - just like running a catch-can, you have to remember to empty it. :)

Oh, and if you use a K&N filter, make sure some idiot does not toss it out and replace it when you go get an oil change. (I have seen posts where that supposedly happened)

Also, have you gotten a build sheet for your car?

    You can go here: https://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html

On the left column under "Your Vehicle", choose "Equipment Listing" and enter your VIN.
You will get a listing you can save showing everything installed on your car.

    Thanks,

I just printed it off. A lot of info. I'm trying to research the 300 HP Power Rating item on the build sheet/window sticker. Wondering how it gets the extra hp compared to the basic 3.6.

All it states as far as exhaust is...Dual Rear Exhaust.

I did find out that it has a better air intake system then the non super track pack V6, so that is where the extra hp is coming from. I think it is 220 cfm vs 214 cfm.

    That might be it,
the salesman at the dealership tried to tell me that changing our Scat Pack to the Daytona CAI would boost the HP,
closer to 500, I did not argue the point, but AFAIK, the Daytona lists the same HP as the Scat Pack.

I doubt the V-6 would sound great with the active exhaust. - No offense intended-

I hear a lot of horrible engine revving from camaros as they go by our car.....
I just shake my head and think to myself, that HAS to be a V-6 Camaro. <and he thinks that sounds good>

    No off
No offense taken. I know my V6 will never sound as good as a Hemi, but I love the car for so many more reasons then that.
