How does the active exhaust actually work?? Where is it located?
sorry if I explain something you already know but the active exhaust is just a valve that is computer controlled to open or close depending on how much throttle s given and rpm's. So when really getting on it the valve is fully open, but when just cruising at low rpm's its more closed to quiet down the exhaust.
there are two of them located between the mid muffler and the rear resonators. They are near the rear wheels.
here is the location its after the muffler near the rear diff towards the rear of the car. There is 1 on each pipe
active exhaust means happy face too!
Can you do something to make them stay open?
when you are in track mode the valves are always open. If you want them open when not in track mode you need and AES delete.
here is one company that makes an active exhaust delete kit
I think @JohnnyDollar at one time posted a link to another manufacturer that looked like a little better design because the way it dealt with the electronic module
Ya for now i will leave it alone. Maybe cut out the resonators. Maybe
The mid muffler delete is the popular thing right now and it does sound good.
