I was just kidding around..... (see lol) :)

But, a couple of catch can tips from your Uncle Johnny:
    1) If you forget to dump it and it fills to the top, the engine will die.
    2) If your do not screw the can tight enough, it can vibrate loose and drop, when it does, the "check engine light" will come on.

    :)

The first one happened to someone on a ramforum. He said he was driving and the truck just died. Catch can was full to the top and blocking the tube. Emptied it and the truck started right up.

The second one happened to me. My Billet Tech can came loose.
Lucky for me, it fell on to some cables underneath and did not get fall to the road.
I simply screwed it back on and the light went out.

I will definitely make a mental note to screw it on tight. And check that it has not come loose periodically

Caution: It only needs to be firm, not TIGHT, or you will not be able to remove it without a strap wrench. :)

I have seen numerous posts about people complaining they were unable to remove it for dumping.

It can be, it only came off once, after that I just make sure it is firm and no problems.

My wife has emptied the can several times without incident.
It was simply user error that one time.

I"ll leave the catch can alone atleast until the warranty expires. I see the dealership using it as an excuse to deny a warranty claim..
