I just installed the K&N CAI over the weekend and I'm not sure I like it any better then the K&N Drop In filter I already had installed in it previous to this. The CAI sounds louder, but seems to have less performance then the Stock airbox and K&N drop in filter.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    pictures?

Only thing I could imagine that would cause it to perform less would be that it is somehow sucking in more hot air from the engine bay than the stock setup did.

Since you have the super track pack and some performance pages, can you monitor your Incoming air temp? Unfortunately you won't know what it was stock unless you take the time to switch it back.

I'm going to do a 0-60 time as well to see how it does with the CAI on. I already have a baseline from when the stock intake was on it. That may give me an idea as well. From what I remember from the intake temp stock, this seems to run cooler.

    Pics to come at lunchtime.

I can't imagine that it lets less air in than what you had, so if it is indeed cooler air it might just be that it seems to perform less. Your butt dyno might need calibration :happy175:

This is what I ordered from K & N website (Getting it Wednesday). HP gain is at wheel measured on dyno.

Find some thermal tape to wrap your tube to help keep the temp down. It does get very hot.

0-60 times consistently at 6.3 seconds. before I installed it, I was running 6.7 to 6.9 second range. So, definitely an improvement.
I haven't done a 0-60 run with launch control yet.
