Just joined. Have a 2016 Scat Pack that I dearly love. Base model with NAV as only option. Perfect car so far.
Truth told, my wife picked it out, it is her car. But Granite was her first choice. I'm still kind of shocked that she decided on the Scat.
You married a wise woman to be sure. I tried to talk my wife into a MOPAR (Chrysler 300, Grand Cherokee, or whatever) but she likes BMWs. So that is what she got. The only 2 things on the Scat I would change: 1. Don't care for the open hood scope that directs water, dust, or other junk directly into the engine compartment. I keep my engines spotless and this makes it harder to do. Love the Shaker Hood set up on the Challenger. Does not have this issue. Even worse on the Hellcat Hood with the scope and the 2 additional heat extractors. 2. The front end is too low. You have to be extremely attentive to avoid beating up the chin splitter. No scrapes yet but I have come extremely close to a few concrete parking blocks. Thought about have the front end raised and inch but decided against it.
My wife wanted a charger. She prefers 4-door cars. We have grandkids and she likes the extra room. -grandkids are also why we got the weathertech floormats. We have a Ram 1500 with the 5.7 and I knew that is what she wanted. - her thoughts were if you don't get the HEMI, whats the point? This is her first "brand new", new car. Something I promised that we would do before retirement. (Personally, I am a big believer in buying 1-2yrs old and letting the new car buyers take the big depreciation hit.) Honestly, I thought she would just get a Charger R/T and call it good. My wife likes to ask cops if they want to race. I have a fund set up for bail money.
Reading one of your other posts, I don't know that you have enough miles on your car to get the engine dirty.
