On many car/truck forums I see people agonizing over whether or not their batteries, charging and starting systems are bad. Usually, the advice is to take the vehicle to a parts store for testing. Well if you want to do it yourself the quick and easy way is with a Midtronics-PBT 300 Battery-Charging-Starting Tester. I use mine constantly to monitor battery and alternator health. This unit uses the same algorithums that many dealers use to warranty batteries. In fact this is the unit the BMW dealer used to replace the battery on my wife's 2011 BMW. Great tool to have and worth every penny. https://www.amazon.com/Midtronics-P...TF8&qid=1363265621&sr=8-1&keywords=midtronics
thats cool. I could have used that a few times in the past. Especially on the ram when the battery went and the alternator shortly afterwards
