I found the setting that will turn it off First click on the “audio” button near the bottom right of the screen which will bring up this screen. Which you will then hit the down arrow circled in red. Then this screen will pop up and just turn it to off
Ah, we are only connected by bluetooth. We had to go to settings-bluetooth-uconnect and click the circled i and turn on 'notifications', now we get a voice message that we have a text and it reads it to us and then we push the VR button to activate SIRI and tell her to send a text back and tell her what to send. - all handsfree
cool, but my wife does not plug her phone into the usb port. Unless she has to. That's the other problem.
Still I have never gotten that type of message with text messages with two different iPhones and three different versions of Uconnect. Not once ... never. And yes I have notifications turned on.
It used to work fine with her iPhone 6, it stopped when she got her iPhone 7, but once I turned on notifications, it started working right away. All this time we thought it was a problem with the phone or that particular OS. She is happy again. Just to see, I turned on notifications on my iPhone SE and it works as well. all via bluetooth.
