lol, that does remind me of whatever critter crawled up into the engine bay of my tdi and chewed through a wire harness and I didn't have any A/C in July

I just saw a post on a Facebook charger Daytona group that several people have been hearing the same noise and they even posted videos of the noise. It happens with the 392’s also.

Im glad to see that its not just my car, but people are saying its normal. Not sure how that sound is normal several hours after the car has been shut off. I have not heard it happen again though.

So, nobody knows what it is, yet people say it is normal?

    I'm in your camp,
I don't see how it's normal, whether the car has been sitting, just stopped or is driving down the road.

-screeching seems like something is crying for attention.... :)

nope, one guy thought it had to do with the sensors for parking and side collision, but my car doesn't have side collision. Another theory is the key fob sensors, or the air ducts shutting.

sensors are electrical. sounds like something mechanical. relay or solenoid or valve or either contraction from transition from hot to cold. On the 392 could be something with the header

I still think it’s a screech owl living under your hood
